Robert has been involved in Information Technology for over 12 years, and has spent over 8 years lecturing and teaching students, with a focus on implementing real world-based learning techniques in the classroom. This includes course module design and development, learner management, assessment and moderation, and recognition of prior learning (RPL).

He has experience in developing software for banking, manufacturing, telecoms and other industries, as well as familiarity with project management and budgeting. Major clients that he built real-world solutions for include African Bank, the City of Cape Town and Nedbank, while he also held the post of Software Development Lecturer at the CTI Education Group. He is also an entrepreneur, having served as CTO of Africanize, a small IT business he helped found.

Robert holds a B.Sc (Honours) in Information Systems from Midlands State University in Gweru, Zimbabwe. He is also an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, and has certificates in Assessment and Moderation of Content, as well as in Building TEC assessments and qualifications.
